Scope and Contents

This collection includes photos, memory books and newspaper articles about the Covenant Youth of America's European trips between 1956 and 1968. Every four years, approximately one hundred young people in Covenant Youth of America traveled to Europe for a period of sightseeing and participation in an International Youth Assembly.

Biographical / Historical

Four tours were completed four years apart. The 1956 and 1960 tours traveled to Europe via ocean liners, and lasted eight weeks. The 1964 and 1968 tours traveled via airplane, and were six weeks in length. All of the week-long Youth Assemblies were held at various locations in Sweden, while the remainder of the time in Europe was devoted to sight-seeing.
