Covenant Youth Caravan Records
Scope and Contents
Covenant Youth Caravan (CYC) was a program of the Evangelical Covenant Church that placed teams of college-age youth in churches in various conferences of the denomination. Churches would apply for Caravan representative and were chosen by CYC administration. The CYC youth would serve as singles, or in pairs for a period of 4 – 8 months in a selected church. Their purpose was to assist the church staff in the Christian Education program of the church at all age levels. The CYC Program was in effect from 1959 – 1976. Included in the files are photos, schedules, correspondence with churches, and newspaper articles about the various trips.
