Biographical / Historical

Founded December 1885 as the Kansas Mission Conference or the Swedish Evangelical Mission Conference in Kansas. Over the years it was called variously both the Kansas Conference and the Kansas-Missouri Conference. About 1947 its name changed to the Southwest Conference. It merged into the Midwest Conference in 1957.
