Biographical / Historical
The Midwest Conference was formed in 1886 as the Nebraska Mission Society (alternately called the Nebraska Mission Association or Nebraska Conference). It changed its name to the Midwest Conference in 1936 or 1937. The Southwest Conference merged into the Midwest Conference in 1957; the Iowa Conference merged into it in 1969.
