Biographical / Historical

The Middle East Conference was formed August 21-23, 1885 as the Southwestern New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania Circuit Association (Sydvästra New York och Nordvästra Pennsylvania Kvetsförening). Its name changed to the Middle East Conference (Mellersta Österns Missionsförening) in 1893. In 1980 it merged with the Michigan Conference, forming the second Great Lakes Conference (1980-).
