Immediate Source of Acquisition

Arrived to the archives via a family in Minnesota; A letter from Mrs. A.T. Frykman said: "W brought that with us to Chicago from Sweden where we had spent 3 months in 1939. When Nils Frykman left for American they sold their belongings. My husband remembered that rocker and scouted around bent on finding it and succeeded. The man who bought it gave it to his son as a wedding gift. He of course was reluctant to part with it but somehow A.T. persuaded him to. I believe it would please grandpa knowing of its new location. We had it in our home in Chicago before giving it to the Cov. Archives, so it had never been in Pennock, Minn. I would have loved to keep it but it was cumbersome so when A.T. left us I couldn't think of a more appropriate place for it or a place where he would agree to place it than where it is now. If that old rocker could speak, it would tell us many interesting episodes and sing for us what it heard."
