Scope and Contents
Icon of Christ painted in Aleppo Syria around 1703. One of the unique aspects of the Christ icon is that the John 10:10 verse is actually in Arabic this makes the Icon quite rare it would more commonly be in Aramaic or Greek.

Custodial History
The icon was created in Aleppo Syria around 1703 and was displayed in a monastery in Beirut Lebanon until the late 1970s. When that monastery closed, the international church in Beirut purchased the icon for their outgoing pastor, Romain Swedenburg. Romain Swedenburg was an alumni of North Park Theological Seminary. In 2013 it was given to North Park Theological Seminary

Physical Description
Good. North Park Theological Seminary sent the item to Trinity Icons in Chicago for some minor repairs in 2013.
