Biographical / Historical

Hildor Arnold Barton (November 30, 1929 – September 28, 2016) was an historian with a focus on Swedish History. He taught at the University of Alberta, the University of California (Santa Barbara), and Southern Illinois University (Carbondale). He served on the boards of the Swedish-American Historical Society and the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center as well as serving as the editor of the Swedish-American Historical Quarterly.
