Scope and Contents
The Linné Monument collection contains records relating to the statue honoring Carl von Linné and includes: a history of the monument by Selma Jacobson, biographical records for Linné, records related to the planning and erection of the Linné monument in Lincoln Park, its relocation to the University of Chicago, and records related to May Celebrations. Also included are correspondence with a number of people, including: Ragnar Benson, Brian Garrick, Carl Hjalmar Lundquist, Pehr Peterson, sculptor Fritiof Kjellberg, and sculptor C.J. Dyferman.
